Who Should NOT Use Flash Sales (And Why)?

While this tool is incredibly helpful, changing actual product prices takes time. Because of this, Flash Sales are not a good fit for everyone.

Shopify has strict "speed limits" in place to keep their servers from crashing. They only allow apps to update a certain number of products per minute.

Because of this speed limit, you should avoid using our Flash Sale tool if you fit into these categories:

You have a massive catalog and want a very short sale: If you want to put 15,000 items on sale for just 2 hours, please don't use this tool! Because of Shopify's speed limit, it might take our app 3 hours just to apply the discounts. If your 2-hour sale ends before the app is even finished starting it, the system will collide with itself, and your prices could get stuck.

You constantly change prices manually: If you have an active Flash Sale running, do not go into your Shopify admin and manually change the price of a product that is currently on sale. When the sale ends, our app is going to restore the "snapshot" it took at the beginning, which will overwrite your manual changes.

You need an instant store-wide sale: When Sunday at 8:00 PM hits, the app unlocks the vault, grabs your original prices, and puts them all back exactly as they were. You don't have to lift a finger!

The Golden Rule: If you have thousands of products, always schedule your Flash Sales to last at least a few hours (preferably 24 hours or more) to give the app plenty of time to work safely. If you need a massive 1-hour flash sale, we highly recommend using Shopify's native "Automatic Checkout Discounts" instead of changing the actual product price tags!
